I have noticed while reading this book that i really enjoy books that take place in the art, dance or music world. This one was no exception. This was a great book in her T-FLAC series. Though I had to try to remember what happened before the Edge trilogy. So that was a little difficult. Max was a great hero and I loved Emily, she was cool. She was not a kick butt heroine but she was not whiny or one who is positive that her way is the right way and ends up getting herself into even more trouble. She is trust into a world that is scary and where she sees death first hand and I think that she handles it pretty well.

Well, this was the final book in the trilogy. I have enjoyed it but am not sure that I would have bought the books if I had read them first. I think that the second book was the best of the three with the third book coming in second. I wish the first book had been longer but I know that they probably have a word cap on those books that they cannot be more than so many words. It was an interesting ending and I liked how it ended. This was a great book. It reminds me of Moon Called by Patricia Briggs and it also reminds me of Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause. So if you liked those I think that you will like this one. One thing that the synopsis does not mention is that because of the males sperm there are not very many females at all of there species, there are only like 6 females in North America and she is one of them that is why her family and everyone else is so protective of her.

The death of her grandmother--the beloved matriarch of Langstown, Florida--has thrown Pietra "Pete" Lang's preparations for the Fourth of July into chaos. But nothing is going to stop her from throwing the most fabulous party ever. Not the fireworks igniting between her and her brother's infamous divorce attorney. And especially not the dead body in the freezer.
Was not a big fan of this book. The heroine annoyed me and the plot annoyed me. The plot and character issues for me were moral and legal. They find a dead body in her grandmother freezer after she dies but Pete refuses to contact the police because of how it would affect her dead grandmother's reputation, and the lawyer boyfriend went along with that (he did eventually tell but still it bugged me). I guess maybe I watch too many crime shows where I know that it is illegal to not report a body.
Well, I finished it because I was at camp and this was my last book. It did grow on me a little to where I did not put it down even thought I had nothing else to read but it was not my favorite read of the week. But hey it was $1 at Save-a-lot so at least I did not pay full price for it.
Well, I am back from camp and am now a home owner. Yeah!! busy times.
When I packed for camp I remembered that last year I brought three books an finished them by Tuesday and had nothing else to read. So this year I brought 5 books thinking I would be covered. No luck I finished them by Wednesday and then started re-reading. So I read Promises Keep twice. My hubby is the director for that week of camp and the only responsibility I have is to play with my kids, so this is like my vacation time. But after the kids go to bed at 8pm I am alone with no tv or internet for three hours until the hubby gets done with the campers. So I read. And I love it, but I need more books. Lots of reviews coming up.
Anyway, you know how hard it is to close on a house when you are out of town. Well that is what we did. We closed by Fed Ex. Now we have a house and are spending way too much time at Lowe's buying things to fix the house up. It is fun but stressful at times. You have all these ideas but limited budget and time. We are excited though.
The Promises Trilogy by Sarah McCarty
I loved these books. I do not have too many westerns so they are always a treat to read. These were nice and hot so that was even better. I loved the characters and had a lot of fun with them. Thank you zeek!!
The books need to be read in order because the characters visit in each book. Warning about the second book, Promises Keep, it starts out rough, but stick with it.

I liked this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series. It was a good intro book to the series.

I enjoyed this story a lot. I had never read her before and won a book from her at the TRS giveaway and decided to get this one. You know I love werewolf books and that is what I thought this one was, it was not but it was still very good. It was about a group of people who have an affinity to wolves and can communicate with them telepathically. All the warriors have a birthmark tattoo of a wolf and there are some other marks depending on your gifts. This happens at the time when Edward rules England and decided that wolves were menaces and they all needed to be killed. So these people hid to protect the wolves and themselves. But in one battle, a little boy was lost and never seen again. Thus the name of the story. This is the first in a series and I am interesting in reading the rest of them.
The year is 1311. Serena de Reincolt, a young Warrior of the Wolf, is tasked with a quest: Retrieve the sacred scrolls of Solaria and the outlawed murderer, Ziem.
These stories were both a case of Too much sex. I am going to come back later to post the book cover but I am at camp and cannot get the pic to copy.
Bad as She Wants to Be by Thea Devine
I would classify this one as erotic but I would not call it erotic romance. There was not very much romance in it. I did not like it very much. I had to force myself to finish it and I was hoping that it would get better. It did get a little better toward the end but not enough to make me want to try it again later. The whole story was her going to orgies and sleeping with everyone she came into contact with. The story did nothing for me at all.

The Supplicant by Lucinda Betts
This story I liked more. It still had too much for me (which says alot) but it was not as bad as the above book. It is a fantasy book and was very interesting so I did enjoy reading it, but it is very explicit and do not read if you do not like the heroine sleeping with other people (females included). I will post the description later because I cannot get it on this computer.
Rises the Night (The Gardella Vampire Chronicles Book 2) by Colleen Gleason
This is the second book in the series and it was intense. I spent the whole book trying to figure out whose side Max was on. The info about Sebastian was very interesting too. Can't wait for the next book.

Well reading this out of order was not too bad. Definitely would have been a little helpful to have read the other book first. (Atlantean's Quest: The Arrival) Because she is going in to the jungles of South America looking for her friend who disappeared (heroine from the first book). Interesting book.

I liked this book alot, but I will say that i think the weak point is the heroine. She is a little whiny. She actually gets a backbone and stands up to her dad half way through the book, but she still whines a bunch. The next book (Killer Secrets) looks great, I can't wait for it.

I really enjoyed this book in the series. The first in the series is Magic in the Wind. The series goes from the oldest sister to the youngest as per a prophesy about their family. (I talked about the previous book here.) Hannah is the 5th sister and a shy but beautiful model. The hookup between her and Jonas has been eagerly anticipated. The story was fast paced which was very good The only thing for me that would have brought the grade down a little would be Hannah was a little whiny, not to where I wanted to shoot her, but she was a little whiny in this one.

Prince of Swords (Children of the Sun trilogy Book 3) by Linda Winstead JonesThis was a good conclusion to the series. Though for me a couple of times it was dragging as they traveled to the army, but that was very few times. Good trilogy, I am not sure if I would personally buy it, but I enjoyed reading it.

I think I heard about this series from nath and found out that my library had them, so I requested the first book. It took about 2 months to get it but I got it last week while I was out of town and read it Sunday. I loved it. It took me about a quarter of the way through the book to get used to reading right to left, but I got it now. Then I went out the other night and got the second one. Of course since I do not have the next one handy this one ends in a slight cliffhanger, mid-conversation. But I have the next two on request. Hopefully they will get here faster than last time. But thank you for introducing me to them, nath, I love them.
The series is (so far) about two teens, Rei and Kira and their relationship. Rei is the school bad boy and Kira is a shy artist.

I LOVED this book. It was great, I could not put it down. I would say that if you have not read Causing Havoc though, you should before reading this. Those characters make a lot of appearances in this one. The description does not say much, but it gives the general idea but I will add one more thing, Dakota has a very mean ex that is dogging her trying to get her back. So that of course brings out the alpha male in Simon, but Dakota can hold her own and that was very nice. She had a rough history so now is determined that no one is going to have that power over her again.
Sexy ex-fighter Simon Evans has the perfect life-until he catches his girlfriend cheating. To work off his rage, he goes back into the ring full-force. But a gutsy and gorgeous P.I. I liked this book, it was a nice regency intrigue story. The characters were interesting and I liked that the heroine was not a lily-white flower. She was a survivor and was doing anything she had to to find and save her sister. I am not a huge fan of historicals but this one kept my attention very well.

This was a cute book. At first I thought it might be a paranormal genie thing, but it was not. It was a nice hot love story.
When all else fails, what's a girl to do? Conjure your own man, of course! Becky Blake is through with vibrators. Well, to be honest, her vibrator's through with her. The damn thing actually conked out, mid-fantasy. Time for desperate measures. Apparently this the the third of a trilogy, did not realize that until I started reading it but I would say it could be read as a stand alone. But reading it in order would make more sense because her whole situation is based upon circumstances that occurred in the other books. The other two are Tempt Me and Trust Me.
How could penniless socialite Mallory Morgan accept Gabriel Steele's charity? But Gabriel wasn't used to taking no for an answer. And the infuriatingly arrogant man wasn't above using his devastating sex appeal to get what he wanted. Gabriel intended to take care of Mallory, leaving her no choice but to succumb to his wishes. Yea, we got Dallas and Amy's story, it has been a long time in coming. It took me a minute to recap in my head everything that had happened so far in the series because it had been so long since I had read them. Great suspense series. I have really enjoyed reading it. If you haven't read it yet, the first book is To the Edge.

This was a DNF for me. I could not get into it at all. I have loved her other books so I will try it again later, but I am putting it away for now. I hope others have better luck than me with it.

I liked this one very much. It was fun to see who would win out, the old fashioned relationship or the sex-only relationship. It was a fun HOT read.

Because i am so behind on posts I will sum this one up saying it was a sweet reunion story with a lot of sex.

This series has a little bit of everything paranormal and I am enjoying it so far

So this kind of worries me about the end of the trilogy, but so far it is very good. The next book is called Darkling and looks good as well. I will say as a warning to others that they are told in the first person and it changes depending on the book. The first book is told from Camille's POV and Changeling is told from Delilah's POV. It is a true trilogy and cannot be read out of order. The order is ... Witchling (Camille's book, she is a witch), Changeling (Delilah's book, she is a werecat) and Darkling (Menolly's book, she is a acrobat and recently turned vampire and her book comes out in January).

As I sit down to type about this book I cannot remember it very well at all. I remember thinking that I liked this book, but now it has been like almost three weeks since I have read it. Serves me right for taking so long to post about it. Now I will have to re-read it. But that won't be bad since I know that I liked it. And i do remember that it was nice and HOT.

Fun book as usual, all about Betsy this time. In this book she finds herself alone and is at a loss. But she deals in true Betsy style. We also have a showing of the Wyndham wolves in this story as well. Fun to read, but I still say these are way too short. They are very much like installmenst, I feel like I am reading a weekly show. Except it only comes on once or twice a year. But will I keep reading? yes, they are nice fun reads.

This book was a lot of fun. I could not put it down. The characters hate each other but are totally attracted to each other so it is constant bashing banter while they try to keep their hands off of each other. I checked this one out from the library but I know I will eventually buy it, I love her books. Very hot scenes!

I am being generic and posting these together. They were all pretty good. I am enjoying this series. The series is called Special Ops and is about a Special Ops team comprised of men and women with psychic talents. The other books in the series are Down to the Wire, Against the Wall and Under the Gun. I have read them all and enjoyed them as well, but they all came out about two years before these, and I do not remember the first three having any psychics in them. So maybe they are just tentatively related to these. Like a different branch in the same group like what Cherry Adair did with her TFLAC books. It has been too long since I read them.

I liked this book, but it (and the rest of the series) is not for everyone. If you have read her before and like her style then you might like this.
This is a book about an modern arranged marriage. Both the H and h have to marry or lose their fortunes because of a clause in two wills. So their lawyers team up and put them together. I enjoyed this one. The morality issue that I had with the other books was still in this one. Is visiting The Channel considered cheating... I think that I can still read them because i n the end she gives up The Channel because she no longer needs it. But she does visit it after she is married, so she does have sex with men other than the H. So I know some people who would have a problem with that. But I do not think this one crosses my adultery line yet, but it is teetering on the edge. If anyone else has read it please let me know what you thought.

My first Beth Williamson book. And gratefully it could be read out of order. I have been wanting to read her for a while but currently am not able to buy any books (because of moving costs and such) and was so excited when friend let me borrow this. I was not disappointed. The story was good and the characters were fun to read about. Now I want to read the rest of them it is the only downfall of series, they get me hooked and then i have to spend more money, borrow them or live without until I have money. Choices ;)

Good book. I got into it a lot easier than the last book and I enjoyed it more. I love this series. You did not get the whole vampire and witch match going, but you got a nice sidhe and dragon thing going. I am getting a nice appreciation for dragon heros. This was a great installment for the series and carried the storyline nicely.
NOTE: in the back of the book, it said she had a new book coming out called Warlord and I was excited until I read the rest and it said it was a release of Jane's Warlord and her novella Warfem (in the Kick @$$ anthology) in one book.

Desires Sirocco (WindWorld) by Carlotte Boyett-Compo (ebook)This was a pretty good story. It took me a while to read though because I can only take reading at my computer for so long, and this was a long book (or maybe it just seemed like a long book). It was an interesting plotline but I could not stay focused on it. So it was good but not in my top 10 this month. I am going to try it again another time to see if it was just my mood.

I got these from the library after having read Shadow Hunter in this series. I still have to read the first and latest books in the series, but the order for the books are: Shadow Force, Shadow Watch, Shadow Hunter, Shadow Surrender and Shadow Warrior.
Both of the books are good with Native American spiritual elements. Nice use of psychic powers and bad guys who are shape-shifters. I wish they had been a little longer and a little more suspense in them, but that is a preference, they were both good withut changing those things.

I really liked this book, but for some reason I felt like I had read it before. But I do not have it listed in my blog so I probably haven't. I did really enjoy it though, the characters were intriguing and the storyline kept me interested.

This trilogy is kind of a sequel to her witch trilogy (Sun Witch, Moon Witch and Star Witch). It is about their children. I have not read the witch trilogy but have been wanting too. I do not think that it is imperative to read the other trilogy first. I was not lost at all. But they do mention the other witches a bunch.
I enjoyed this one alot. And cannot wait to read the next stories, Prince of Fire and Prince of Swords. I think this was actually the first thing that I have read by her ( I read Raintree: Haunted right after, now I am playing catch up with my posts). In some ways in reminds me of Nora Roberts' Circle trilogy.

I have got to break down and re-read ths series all together. I am losing track of what happened in the previous books. It took me until halfway through the book before I full remembered what happened in the last book. These books are a lot of fun and a great read. My only complaint is I wish they were longer, and she needs to get with Eric :)

Great book. I liked this one much more than Inferno. The storyline was good, the characters were well suited and the story was very cohesive. If the first book turned you off, give this one a try. I am looking forward to the final installment, Raintree: Sanctuary by Beverly Barton.
Spoiler (highlight to read) ( haven't tried this yet so here goes...)
This book takes place during the same time period as Inferno (phone calls from Dante show that. And it ends the same time as the other book with the call and feeling that Gideon needs to get to Sanctuary NOW. And then the story ends but you do get the conclusion of the couple, they do get together and such before then end of the book.

I enjoyed this one much more than the last book. The previous book, Danse Macabre, just had way too much sex in it and too little story line. This one was much different. I can only remember like two scenes and there was much more story to it. So this one is much better than the last couple books. If you read the series and weren't sure if you were going to pick this up, reconsider, it was very good (or at least check it out from the library until it comes out in paperback like I did/am doing).

I was trying to use my labels for this and realized I needed to make a new label because they are not vamps, demons or shifters and there is more to this than just magic, so I guess I am making the label, Immortal.
Well, I was very nicely surprised at this book. I have had it in my tbr pile for a while and it kept getting pushed back and now I wish I had read it sooner. But one of the upsides of waiting is that now the second book is out and I do not have to wait forever to read it. I already have it on reserve from the library. Yeah! I really liked the ending of this book. It was a good resolution for the H and h but also a great way to continue the storyline.

Thought that title might be attention getting, and it makes me smile. My internet is finally back, YEAH!!! I have about 8 things to review to round off my May reads, but I have already read about 8 things in June (I read too much). So I am going to be marathon posting for a little while. Also in the midst of this the family and I are trying to find and buy a house before August (keep your fingers crossed and prayers going). We though that we would have until September but things have changed and now we have to have everything finalized by August. Yikes!! But on to the book...
The first book I am posting about does have to do with my title, it is called Kink.
I really enjoyed this book. I had misgivings and though that I would not when I read the back of the book but went ahead and read it (I got it free in a contest, so why not read it) and enjoyed it more than I thought. It has bondage, voyeurism, exhibitionism and spanking. This book covers a lot. I was afraid when I read the back cover that the wife in Watch Me was going to cheat on her hubby, she does not (though she does put on a show for others). I did enjoy the story, but I really enjoyed Ms Walker's story more. I think because there seemed to be more story to it than Ms White's.
