This book had the disadvantage of being the first in a series, it has to set up the world and setting for the series. It did a decent job, but it makes the storyline drag occasionally. Very interesting world and story. I liked the characters and that the hero had a questionable credibility about whose side he was on. Good book, I was looking forward to the next installment (see below :)

Now it’s personal–and even his big bad love may not be enough to halt a terrible new evil snuffing out fire Sybils like Cynda. It’s nasty. And if it can’t be stopped, they’re all going to fry.
Great story. I was kind of skeptical when we captured the bad guy and still had half a book to go, but was not disappointed. The story kept me interested and reading. Very good. Labels: demons, paranormal, psychic
