I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. It does not go with a series, it is a stand alone. The hero and heroine (Mike Ganner and Clancy McRae) were great, I loved their interaction and banter. There was only one thing that i did not get and maybe I need to read it a second time to get it. There were three secondary story lines, two were the bad guys, which was good I always like getting all the sides of the story, but the other was this guy named Antone Choufani and I still don't really understand his part in the story. As I think more about it I think that he had to do with the weapon that the bad guys were dealing with and then tracked it back to the bad guys, but his part was kind of extra to the story. Like if his part was left out it really would not have affected the story. I could be wrong and maybe I missed something that I will catch next time I read this. Besides that I really loved the story. The H and h were awesome characters. If you like the high action military hero books then you will love this one.
Clancy McRae is mad as hell. Charged with creating technology-enhanced troops, she’s discovered her top-secret nano-device has been surgically implanted in four U.S. Marines without her approval. Though it makes them smarter, faster, and stronger than any human on earth, in this untested stage, it can also drive them insane—or kill them. Now she’s stolen classified data, risking her career--and her life—to go after them.
While recovering from a shoulder wound, Spec Ops leader Mike Gannon learns the rest of his team was dropped into the jungles of Peru to locate a chilling new weapon. Then: nothing, nada. Injured or dead, it’s his duty to bring them home and destroy the threat. But when a scrappy red-haired beauty butts into his rescue mission, insisting the government turned his men into lab rats, Mike doesn’t believe her—till she becomes a moving target.
Keeping Clancy with him, keeps her safe, yet as the tropical temperatures rise with their passion, Mike and Clancy are ensnared in a labyrinth of ingenious deceptions concealing a peril no one suspects--and only they can stop.
In the dark forgotten Andes mountains, they unearth a deadly plan and an ancient menace that turns a rescue--into the crucial fight for their very survival.
And the clock is ticking…..

I do love military romances. :P Have you read Amy J before? I haven't read anything by her, but I'm really interested.
Hi ames! I love military romances as well. I have read a few things by her. I own Hit Hard and Tell it to the Marines and two of her harlequin Desire books. Naked Truth, Hit Hard and her next release, Come as You Are all go together. She has also written a couple historicals but I have not read those. The ones that i have read by her I have really enjoyed and I recommend her if you like military books.
